Water Powered Car

Water Powered Car is a cool science projects for school students to learn about kinetic energy and potential energy.

Material required: Plastic bottle, Sticks or Cycle spoke, CD, Plastic bottle caps etc…

Description:
One can make different model car using CD. Water Turbine can be made using plastic bottle cap or Plastic spoons.

Different Models:

IR Remote Control Tester

Components required: PCB, 9v Battery, Jumper Wires, PNP transistor, IR sensor (TSOP1738), LED, etc.

Circuit Diagram: Schematics of IR Remote Control Tester

Description:
A PNP transistor A1015 will work as switch and TSOP1738 used as infrared sensor.  When the IR waves received by the infrared sensor it will make the transistor ON and the LED in the circuit will start blinking.

Note: One can also used Buzzer in place of LED

LED Flasher using 555 timer IC

Components required: PCB, 9v Battery, Jumper Wires, 555 Timer IC, Capacitor 1μF, Resistor (1k Ohm and   470k Ohm, LED, etc.

Circuit Diagram : Schematics of LED Flasher with the 555 timer IC

Description:

1.Place the 555 Timer IC in the middle of the PCB.
2.connect Pin 1 to ground
3.Connect Pin 4 with Pin 8 and then Connect Pin 8 to VCC (+ve of battery).
4.Connect Pin 6 with Pin 2 and then connect pin 2 with ground via capacitor.
5.470k Ohm (R1) resistor connect between Pin 6 and Pin 7
6.connect Pin 7 to VCC via Resister (R2) 1 k Ohms
7.Connect one end of the second 1k Ohm (R3) resistor with Pin 3 and second end of resister connect with positive terminal of LED.
8.The negative leg of LED connects with the GND.
9.Connect the 9v battery

Note:Other devices, such as a buzzer or a speaker, can be used in place of the LED for specific applications.

Voltage Doubler

A voltage doubler is an electronic circuit which charges capacitors from the input voltage and switches these charges in such a way that, in the ideal case, exactly twice the voltage is produced at the output as at its input.

Components required: Power supply, Transformer, 2 Diodes, 2 Capacitors, connecting wire etc.

Circuit Diagram:

Description: The circuit consists of two half-wave peak detectors. Each of the two peak detector cells operates on opposite half-cycles of the incoming waveform. Since their outputs are in series, the output is twice the peak input voltage.
